In this engaging and hands-on class, students will explore a wide variety of artistic techniques, materials, and styles while building confidence in their creative abilities. This course is designed to nurture imagination, strengthen foundational art skills, and introduce students to influential artists and art movements throughout history. We will be increasing our skills previously built to grow our art techniques.

Students will experiment with drawing, painting, mixed media, sculpture, and design. Lessons will focus on core art principles such as line, color theory, texture, shading, perspective, balance, and composition. Projects may include watercolor landscapes, acrylic paintings,chalk pastel and collaborative art pieces.

Throughout the year, students will also learn about artists from different cultures and time periods, gaining an appreciation for how art reflects history and society. Emphasis will be placed on creative expression, craftsmanship, and respectful critique in a supportive and encouraging environment.

No prior art experience is necessary—just a willingness to try new techniques and have fun creating!
